Invitation to the official launch of EAST BUG, Kangaroo Point Cliffs Bikeway,

8:30am Sunday 5 June (World Environment Day)

This coming Sunday, June 5th is World Environment Day with this year’s theme being – Green Cities… Plan for the Planet. If that’s not enough it’s also the beginning of Queensland Week.  To celebrate we will be officially launching EAST BUG (Easy And Sustainable Transport Bicycle User Group).

EAST BUG is a community based, not for profit group that wants to encourage more people in the Eastern Suburbs to ride bikes, and advocate for high quality cycling facilities to make it safer and more attractive to ride more often.

If you live south of the Brisbane River and east of the SE Freeway out to Wynnum this means you.

If you ride a bike for fun and exercise or to commute to work or school or would like to in the future you are welcome to come along. Bring your family and friends and have a great time with us enjoying a free hot breakfast. 

Why not ride in and make a day of it.

Breakfast will get underway at 8:30am in the park along the bike path at the bottom of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs at the end of the service road by the BBQ’s near the tiled mosaic square.  Just look for all the bikes…
